Steeped with love: Why Ginger Lemon tea will be a remedy for generations.

Growing up, the only time I enjoyed tea was when my great-grandmother served me some of hers on a saucer, and by the time it got to my lips, it was neither hot nor cold it was just right. Mind you she was blind during that time but it's how she fed me that makes me realize today that she had been doing that for years, for her grandkids and her kids to get them to like tea.

I did not enjoy tea for a long time after she passed on, she loved it sweet and milky, but one day my mother made me some however what made me drink and enjoy it with nostalgia swirling in my belly was that she made it, especially for me, for no reason, some things are best enjoyed when given to you without an agenda to make tea for someone when they did not even ask you for it. It was a wholesome feeling and I went back to enjoying tea.

Was there a connection between tea and my love language? undutiful giving?. Yes, I love things given to me "just because", this makes me think about how I want to be to my children and their children. A tea maker, that cures all ailments of the flesh and spirit. Given to them because I love to not because it would be my duty as a mother.

I want to be the granny who has all the recipes, even with all the answers technology can offer, but "granny's recipe is more special," my grandkids would say.

I made Ginger Lemon Tea this morning to soothe my period pains and help with bloating and I added bay leaves simply because I know how at home we drink bay leaf tea to help release toxins. These three ingredients have one property in common, they are anti-inflammatory. I used ground ginger because I love how it is mild in spice but very pungent. after bringing the tea to a boil, I let it sit on the side to cool and for the ginger to settle on the bottom, then serve it.

The tea helped soothe the cramps and I got gassy, but later thanks to my busy schedule I did not experience cramps. You may visit the toilet more than once. I urge you to try the tea during that time of the month.

With all the recipes taught to you, it's good to keep a small book where you can write down the ones that are your favorite to pass on to your descendants in the future just like this Ginger Lemon tea will be a go-to for me and the generation to come, to be enjoyed as well as heal.

Did you know, it is said that witches can take your tea bag and use your tea leaves for spells and divinations? I know right, a shocker.
